Abstract

People with disability are the largest minority group. WHO informs that the group mostly stay in developing country and one third of them are children. People with disability reported to have less access to health care thancommon society. The objective of this study was to describe the factors possibly influencing the primary health care access of children with disability in Gubeng and Mulyorejo subdistrict, Surabaya, as the one of region in EastJava that reported to have not been accomodate the needs of disabled people. It was cross sectional study with observasional approach. Participants of this study were 160 children with disability along with their parents that choosen by purposive sampling. Half of population were visited and among them obtained 44 samples. The results showed that the variables significantly related to the access of primary health care were the kind of disabilty, activity of daily living value, distance between the house and health care, transportation, parents income, health cost and transportation cost. Either individual or environtmental factor could be known as thefactor that related to the access of health care in children with disability.Keywords: Activity of daily living, disability, environtmental factors, health care access

Abstract

Hospital is a health institution that provide comprehensive health service which is including aspects of promote, preventive, curative, and also rehabilitative. To achieve the goal, the government has been releasedRegulation of the Minister of Health Number 4 Year 2012 about Technical Instructions of Health Promotion in Hospital. In means by all hospitals must implement health promotion in their institution. Based on the earliersurvey, the implementation of the regulation of Health Promotion Hospital (PKRS) in the Universitas Airlangga Hospital was considered less than optimal. The purpose of this research was to analyze the planning factor ofHPH policy implementation. The number of respondents are seven which chosen by purposive sampling. This research was conducted by deep interview and observation method. The results showed that the planning ofPKRS unit has not been prepared as it should be as set out in the regulations. There is neither strategic planning nor operational planning. Unit PKRS not yet have a systematic and structured organization. Qualification ofhuman resources in general are already qualified, but need additional quantity. PKRS unit does not have special health worker health promotion.Keywords: health promotion hospital, implementation, planning, policy

Abstract

Measles is one of endemic diseases in East Java especially in north Surabaya, the home of specific ethnic which resist of immunization. Surabaya District Health Office targeted their Measles immunization is above 90%,but unfortunately this target are never been reached. The purpose of this study was to analyze the management process of immunization program, especially the supervision. The guidance of supervision is regulated in HealthMinister Regulation number 42, on 2013. Supervision is involved performance standard setting, monitoring and corrective action. This is a quantitative study with descriptive and cross sectional design. The sampling wascalculated by using simple random sampling. The interviews through open and close question were conducted to 38 Managers of Immunization program in Public Health Centre. The result showed that the implementation ofsupervision has implemented by guidance the supervision of immunization programme. The study showed that only 2.63% or just one of Public Health Centre has already supervised by District Health Office and 5.26% or twoPublic Health Centres has supervised three times and suit with guidance implementation of general supervision. From this study, it is important for District Health Office to add new person as Supervisor and Public HealthCentres and ensure that its supervision follow the supervision guidance.Keywords: Measles immunization, North Surabaya, supervision

Abstract

Inpatient services at the X Hospital consists of Intensive Care Units and Inpatient Units. In 2014, a nurse  at the unit as a whole experienced a shortfall of 66.67% from 9 rooms there. This shortage triggered theincreasing of nurse workload. This study aimed to find out the objective workload on nurses in Intensive Care Units and Inpatient Units. This research is quantitative descriptive with cross-sectional design. The sample used is total sampling, as many as 174 nurses. Data obtained using activity sheets time and motion study indirectly (self-assessment). Results from this study show the objective workload in the Intensive Care Unit on the morningshift have a heavy workload category, afternoon shift and the night shift has a moderate workload category, while at Inpatient Unit on the morning shift and afternoon shift has a heavy workload category, and shift night has amoderate workload category. The conclusion of this study is objective workload in the Intensive Care Unit has a moderate workload category, while the objective workload in the Inpatient Unit has a heavy workload category.Keywords: nurse,objective workload, time and motion study

Abstract

Performance is a depiction on achievement rate of an activity, programs or policy in fulfilling target, goals,  vision and mission. In 2012-2014, the number of x-rays damage film in Husada Utama’s Hospital was increase (2.59%). To minimize the loss, Husada Utama Hospital needs correction effort. This research aims to analyze the correlation between psychological factors with radiographer’s performance in radiology unit at Husada Utama Hospital Surabaya. This research is descriptive with cross sectional design. The independent variable on this research is psychological factors while the dependent variable is performance. The analysis unit in this research calculated total sampling of radiographer. Data were obtained from questioners to all the radiographer was 12 people who practice in Husada Utama Hospital using an instrument that has been tested for validity and reliability. The result showed that are psychological factors that respondent have high perception on patient caring (75%), 75% respondent have good attitude, 100% respondent have type A personality, respondents had high learning ability (83,3%),almost all respondents (91,7%) have work stress, Psychological factors correlate with the high performance that showed by respondents (80%).Keywords: Performance, physiological factor, psychological factor, radiology unit

Abstract

The 3rd class of inpatient ward in Surya Medika Gresik Hospital had an ideal Bed Occupancy Rate. This  rate also had been decreased since 2014. This study is aimed to assess the performance of the 3rd class of inpatient ward based on Balanced Scorecard. This is a descriptive observational study with cross sectional design. Respondents are Chief Inpatient, Head of the Division of Finance and Family Patients. The results of scoring showed that the are only two perspectives that show a positive performance. The learning and growth perspective has 0.9 which means good performance. The internal business process perspective has 1.6 that categorized as very poor performance. The customer focus perspective has 0.25 that categorized as poor performance. The last perspective, financial perspective, valued 0.05 which is good performance. This study suggest to employing cleaning service, making and socialization of Standard Operating Procedure, making the scheme service flow, improving discipline of doctor, holding service quality training, also increasing the intensity  of monitoring and evaluation .Keywords: balanced scorecard, performance assessment, scoring

Abstract

The occurrence of patient dissatisfaction in Wiyung Sejahtera Hospital associated with the duration in providing the hospitalization bills information shows 90.26% in January to November 2014. This research aimed to analyze the knowledge, necessity of skills training and human resource needed related to billingsysteminevaluating the performance of billing system through user’s perspective by using PIECES Framework. This isdescriptive analytic studywith cross-sectional design. Information obtained from 57 respondents, which inputand verifies bills on the application billingsystem hospitalization. The result showed that the knowledge of billingsystemusers is good, the necessity of IT training is not fulfilled and user’s skills is not good. Billingsystemhospitalization performance evaluation using PIECES Framework results for all indicators are constraints; Performancemean 2,6667; Informationmean 2,8319; Economymean 2,6901; Controlmean 2,7544; Efficiency mean 2,7661 and Servicemean 2,8596. There is a strong correlation between training toward users knowledge about billingsystem. In order to improve the quality of service, it is urgently required to hospital itself providing training to users, developing into a fully package integrated system and arranging standard operating procedures.Keywords: billingsystemperformance, evaluation,PIECES framework

Abstract

In 2014 patient visits to pharmacy services increased 75% from the previous year. Man power in the pharmacy unit was not comparable with the number of pharmacy service.The availability of human resources isinadequate when being compared to the number of outpatient pharmacy visits, therefore it influenced the respon time up to 43,91% for non paten drugs which as not in accordance with the standart services minimum pharmacy services. This data indicate that there was overload capacity on man power in outpatient pharmacy unit. The purpose of this study was to show wordload category on man power in outpatient pharmacy unit, particularly to pharmacists and assistants pharmacists. This was quantitative descriptive study. There were 26 samples consisting of 1 pharmacist, 16 asisstants pharmacists in depo 1 and 9 asisstants pharmacists in depo 5 outpatient pharmacy unit. Data collected by observation for 2 week in working hours. Result of the study was pharmacicts and assitants pharmacists in depo 1 had subjective and objective workload in overload category while depo 5 inmoderate category.Keywords: subjective and objective workload, pharmacicts and assitants pharmacists, work sampling
